Terms of Use
Effective: October 6, 2026
1. Who the Site is for
The Site is for football officials, prospective officials, schools and others who work with the MTFOA. The Member Portal is for current MTFOA members. You must give accurate information and use the Site only as intended.
2. Your account
- You are responsible for keeping your password and sign-in codes private and for what happens under your account. Tell us promptly at support@mtfoa.org if you think someone else has used it.
- Do not share your account, try to get into another person’s account or an area your role does not allow, or interfere with the security of the Site.
- We may suspend or remove access, for example if you are no longer a member or if the Site is misused.
3. Information on the Site
- The Site shares schedules, rosters, meeting and attendance information, evaluations, resources and similar material. We work to keep it accurate, but it may contain errors or be out of date. Confirm anything important (for example a meeting time, an assignment, or a deadline) with the association.
- Nothing on the Site is legal, tax, medical or insurance advice. The MTFOA policies and insurance information page describes the association’s policies; where the Site and an official association document differ, the official document controls.
- Member information (such as emergency contacts and contact details) is shown only to help run the association and in an emergency. Do not copy it, share it outside the association, or use it for any other purpose.
4. Payments
Registration fees and donations are processed by Stripe on Stripe’s own pages. We never see or store your card or bank account number. Fees are set by the association. Stripe’s terms apply to the payment itself.
5. Content you submit
You are responsible for what you submit (for example photos, evaluations, game reports, messages and nominations) and must have the right to submit it. You give the MTFOA permission to store and use it to run the association (for example a roster photo on the public roster). Do not submit anything unlawful, false, or that infringes someone else’s rights.
6. No warranty
The Site is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, the MTFOA does not promise that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, that information will always be accurate, current or delivered on time (including emails and codes), or that data will never be lost. Technology and outside services (such as email, payment and hosting providers) can fail.
7. Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, the MTFOA and its directors, officers, committee members, volunteers, employees and agents (the “MTFOA parties”) are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site, including unavailable or inaccurate information, delayed or missed messages, loss of data, or unauthorized access that was not caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct of an MTFOA party. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
8. Release and indemnity
You use the Site at your own risk. To the fullest extent the law allows, you release the MTFOA parties from claims arising from your use of the Site, and you agree to defend and hold harmless the MTFOA parties from claims, losses and costs (including reasonable attorney’s fees) arising from your breach of these terms, your content, or your misuse of the Site or of another member’s information.
9. Our property
The Site’s design, text, logos and the MTFOA name belong to the MTFOA or its licensors. You may use them only for MTFOA purposes with permission. Registered members may use Member Portal materials for their own officiating.
10. Changes and ending access
We may change the Site or these terms at any time. The date above shows when they last changed; continued use means you accept the current terms. We may end or restrict access when needed.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
