Help
Signing in and your password
I have never signed in. How do I set my password?
Go to the Member Portal and click “First time here, or forgot your password? Get a code.” Type the email address you use for Arbiter and click Email me a code. When the 6-digit code arrives, type it in and choose a password. It takes about a minute.
I forgot my password.
Use the same steps: on the Member Portal page click “First time here, or forgot your password? Get a code.” The code lets you choose a new password.
The code never arrived.
- Check your spam or junk folder. The email comes from notify@mtfoa.org or webmaster@mtfoa.org.
- Make sure you typed the same email address you use for Arbiter. A code is only sent to an address on the MTFOA list.
- Wait a minute or two, then ask for a new code. You can ask for up to 3 an hour.
- Still nothing? Write to support@mtfoa.org from any address and we will help.
What makes a good password?
At least 8 characters. If it is shorter than 12 characters, mix at least three kinds of characters (lowercase, UPPERCASE, numbers, symbols). A phrase of 12 or more characters needs no mix. Please avoid your name, your email and common words.
How do I change the email address on my account?
Your sign-in address is the one on file with the association (the one you use for Arbiter). To change it, write to support@mtfoa.org.
Your information
How do I update my phone number or emergency contact?
Sign in to the Member Portal and open Your contact details. Update your phone numbers, emergency contact and mailing address and click Save my details. Your emergency contact also appears (name and phone only) on the signed-in officials’ emergency list.
How do I add or change my roster photo?
Open the roster page while signed in and use My Roster Photo. You can drag and zoom to position it. A board member approves each photo before it appears publicly.
Meetings and attendance
How do I check in at a meeting?
On meeting day, sign in to the Member Portal and tap Check in. Scan the code shown at the meeting with your phone’s camera, or type the number you are given.
Where can I see how many meetings I have, and my playoff status?
Right at the top of the Member Portal, Your MTFOA status shows how many meetings are credited and what is still needed. The Attendance tab lists each meeting.
How do I put the meetings on my calendar?
On the News & Info page you can add a single meeting, or subscribe to the whole season so your calendar updates itself if a meeting changes.
My attendance looks wrong.
Write to support@mtfoa.org with the date and what you expected. Attendance is updated from the meeting sign-in sheets, so a late upload is the usual cause.
Banquet, nominations and voting
How do I RSVP for the banquet, or change my answer?
Open the Member Portal and use the Banquet card, or use the Yes / No buttons in the reminder email. You can change your answer until the RSVP deadline.
How does voting for the board work?
When nominations close, a Board Election card appears in the Member Portal. You may vote for one or two candidates. Your choices are stored separately from your name, and nobody is shown how you voted. Votes are final once cast.
Registration
How do I register for next season?
Registration is on mtfoa.org. Sign in first so we can fill in what we already know about you, then check your details and pay by card or bank account on the secure payment page. New officials can leave their name and email on the registration page to be reminded when it opens.
Where is my receipt?
You receive a confirmation email from the MTFOA after you pay. If you need a copy, write to support@mtfoa.org.
Emails from the MTFOA
Why am I getting these reminder emails, and how do I stop them?
Reminders are sent to officials who have not yet answered the banquet RSVP or set up their portal password. Every reminder has a Change which reminder emails you get link at the bottom, or open Email preferences in the Member Portal. Essential emails, such as sign-in codes and receipts, are always sent.
